While West was working on his second book, Painting the Southern Coast, he was determined to paint the oyster shucking room at the Bluffton Oyster house. Over the course of several visits he was able to gain the trust and respect of the shuckers and created one of his most iconic pieces to date.

Signed limited edition 38 x 52 inch print on canvas with part of proceeds going towards the Joseph Bacon and Carolyn Bexley Fraser Sustainable Seafood Harvest Fund through the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry.
