Published in 2001, Charleston In My Time is a reflection of the many paintings West Fraser created of Charleston, S.C. encompassing Charleston County in general. Most of the paintings featured in this book were created en plein aire –standing in front of his subjects and painting–and reflect the time after Hurricane Hugo when a lot of downtown had been forcibly restored and given a fresh coat of paint. This was the first dedicated book of West Fraser’s art and was printed by The University of South Carolina Press.
